Judith, If you scroll down further on your map page you will see that the figure of 5 pairs is taken from the National Survey from over 10 years ago plus any additional information received since. Colin Shawyer is regularly in touch with BOCN regional representatives to ascertain populations, but he relies on fieldworkers like yourself to keep him updated. You can do this via the BOCN site. He will be pleased to receive your latest estimate and your annual ringing totals plus any additional information such as average brood size. Best wishes, Bob Sheppard.
