WE STRONGLY ADVISE THAT ANYBODY DOING CONSERVATION WORK SHOULD FOLLOW CURRENT RULES, REGULATIONS AND GUIDELINES. THIS IS IRRESPESECTIVE OF WHETHER OR NOT IT IS FOR THE HAWK & OWL TRUST OR ITS PROJECTS.
Please use your common sense, and also get appropriate training for any hazardous or specialised activity. (We can help to organise training workshops). Only use correct methods and equipment, and be well-organised, with proper precautions, such as First Aid kits, etc. Never take unreasonable or unnecessary risks, or do anything beyond your capacity, or without necessary help.
The risk assessment Fact-file is a document provided to teams of volunteers, intended for guidance, but this does not replace or surpass proper training or work methods.
NEITHER THE HAWK & OWL TRUST, NOR THE SHEEPDROVE TRUST, CAN TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ACTIONS OF INDIVIDUALS OR GROUPS ACTING UNDER THE NAME OF ANY OF OUR PROJECTS UNLESS WE SPECIFICALLY HAVE ISSUED INSTRUCTION OR REQUESTS FOR PRACTICAL ACTIONS, METHODS AND ACTIVITIES TO THOSE INVOLVED.
We welcome feedback, consultation and discussion about these matters at all times.
